Lisa McShane is an artist who's lived in Bellingham for more than 20 years. She's unyielding in her opposition to exporting coal through the Northwest but maintains friendships with those who disagree with her views.
Mark Lowry is a bus driver and union leader who lives in Bellingham. Although he agrees with fellow Democrats on many points, he supports a proposed coal export terminal near his home city, which many other Democrats oppose.
